How to avoid urban displacement

Italia’s Urban Development Ministry has begun construction on a mega urban project that will create 100,000 jobs, the biggest public investment in the city in decades.
Urban Development Minister Fabio Credenzio said the mega project would be located on the edge of the town of Verona, a city on the northeastern tip of Italy.
The plan calls for a network of parks, cycle tracks, public gardens and green spaces in the heart of the city.
It is estimated the project will cost €1.5 billion ($1.9 billion).
The project is part of a broader government initiative to develop and promote an urban environment, Credanzio said.
The municipality is also considering building an entire new high-speed train line, connecting the city to the port of Venezia.
