How to use Adobe Illustrator for urban design projects
By Andrew SchmittBERLIN (AP) When Urban Designers want to create a design for an entire neighborhood, they often need to use a different tool than Photoshop.
Illustrator can be a good fit for these kinds of projects, but it also requires some basic skills in Photoshop.
The following steps can help you get started with Adobe Illustator: 1.
Make sure you have a solid understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator.
It’s a great starting point if you’re not a Photoshop expert, but if you are, it’s probably better to get a feel for the new software by checking out the tutorial below.2.
Learn the Adobe Illustration settings.
This will help you quickly set the settings for your image, but some people find it difficult to adjust settings in Illustrator, so check out our tutorial on how to make Adobe Illustrators settings easier to adjust.3.
Create an image from a single point in the image.
This is usually easier than you might think.
To create an image, go to your main document and then go to the Image tab.
You should see a single black square at the bottom.
Make a selection from the selection box and then click OK to create the new image.4.
Add the background to the image using the Add Image Tool.
Make your selection in the Selection box.
If you click Add in the Image box, the image will be added to the canvas.
If it doesn’t appear in the canvas, try clicking on it in the toolbar.
If the image doesn’t look right, click on the ellipsis (…) symbol to change its position.5.
Save your image as a .jpg file.
The .jpg format is great for creating a logo or branding.
If your image doesnt have a logo, try using the Image Tool to crop the image to size.6.
Once you’ve added the background, you can adjust the shape of the image by clicking the Edit button.
The image will now have an image fill shape.
To make the shape bigger, click the plus sign to make the image larger.7.
Change the size and position of the shapes using the Adjust tool.
The shape will be adjusted as you add the shapes.8.
Repeat the process with all of your other shapes and sizes, then adjust them until you’re happy.
Once you have your design in Illustrators, youre ready to move on to Photoshop.
To get started, you’ll need to make sure you know how to use Photoshop’s File menu and the File menu in Photoshop for Illustrator to work properly.
To do this, open Photoshop and go to File > Preferences.
To open the File Menu, choose File menu from the menu at the top of the window.
Once File menu is open, choose the File tab.
In the File dropdown menu, choose Open to open the Adobe Photoshop File menu.
When you choose Open, Photoshop will open a window that lets you change the settings of your image.
In Photoshop for Adobe Illustrations, open the Image menu, select the image you want to edit, and then select File.
The new File menu will now show all of the settings youve set for your Illustrator image.
Make any adjustments you need, and click OK at the end of the File options.
The next time you open the Illustrator menu, it will be the same as before.
Once the new File Menu is open in Illustrations in Photoshop, you have access to the same tools and features as you would if you were using Photoshop in Illustration.
You can also save your images to your PC or to your local hard drive for later use.
